Education for Conservation
Kanyana’s Education for Conservation program is a great way for children and adults to see native Western Australian wildlife they would not normally see.
Our Education Team conduct sessions at our onsite Education Centre or visit schools and community facilities with our Education for Conservation van. Our ‘hands on’ approach provides an up close experience with animals such as Echidnas, Tawny Frogmouth, stimson python, frogs, a Bilby or possum. This is a powerful educational tool which changes attitudes for life. Our sessions can be tailored for primary school to high school aged students as well as adults. Some of the packages available cover topics such as Endangered Species or Wildlife in your Garden.
Resources are available for download from our website for teachers to prepare for the session. For more information about the resources, click here. To go directly to the download page, click here.
If you would like to know more or would like to book a session, please contact the office on 9291 3900.
