Kanyana receives $125,000 Major Prize

Orange Tie event - June Butcher receiving the major prize from The Orange Seed ProjectKanyana Wildlife has been awarded the Major Gift worth $125,000 of marketing & advertising sponsorship and cash from the Orange Seed Project.

Ten worthy organisations made it to the Orange Tie event at Linton & Kay Galleries last night, where Kanyana was announced as the recipient of the major prize. Nine other contenders were awarded gifts worth $26,000 of advertising sponsorship and cash.

Our Founder and Chairperson June Butcher said that this is a chance for Kanyana to become more recognised.

“This is a fabulous opportunity from Jack in the box and Seven West Media. Every year, we admit 2500 animals to our hospital, and have more than 25,000 people meet an education animal from Kanyana. This prize will allow us to reach more people and involve a wider community at Kanyana, either as visitors or becoming a volunteer.”

The Orange Seed Project is a chance to recognise Western Australian Not-For-Profits and lend them a much needed helping hand. Click here to see the video which won Kanyana the prize.

Kanyana also accepts donations through our website, over the phone and in our hospital. Every dollar counts.
