At Kanyana: Henry arrived at Kanyana in 2002 at 9 years of age.
An elderly man found Henry as a baby and cared for
him. He would give Henry pieces of toast and biscuits
every morning and then place him on a tree branch for
the day. The elderly man brought Henry to Kanyana
when he was no longer physically able to care for him
any longer. Henry never learned to look for food and
is completely imprinted on humans. He can’t be
released into the wild
