Tawny Frogmouth

Scientific name: Podargus strigoides
Conservation status: Least Concern
Habitat: Eucalypt forest and open woodland
Diet: Moths, and small animals like lizards and mice
Distribution:
At Kanyana: Old Tawny arrived at Kanyana in 2002, and it quickly became apparent
she had been imprinted on humans and was unable to be released.
However, this makes her a great member of the education team.
