School Holiday Program

Australia has many incredible, unique animals. Would you like to know more about the special work we do with our native animals? Kanyana Wildlife offers set school holiday activities every holiday period for children aged 4 to 15 years. You will meet some of the resident animals, walk around our amazing grounds and learn about our hospital and how we care for our native wildlife.
Each Holiday Program Session will have a special ‘theme’.
Date – Tuesday 4th July
Marvellous Mammals – What makes our Australian mammals “marvellous”? Come and meet some of our resident mammals at Kanyana and find out what makes them unique. Discover their survival strategies and get tips on where and how to look for these animals in the bush. (An activity is included.)
Date – 6th July
Wriggly Reptiles – Visit the Reptile Room. Meet snakes and lizards. Get up close and discover their special features. (An activity is included.)
Date 13th July
Beautiful Birds – Meet some of our resident birds. Some are quiet, some are noisy, big or small, but all are “beautiful”. See how Kanyana looks after baby birds. What do you know about the birds in your garden? (An activity is included.)
Children aged 4-7 are required to have an adult present during the activities, children aged 8-15 may be left in the care of Kanyana education volunteers.
So – Come along and join us for the holiday program and meet the ‘Animals of Kanyana’.
